Cariad Cafe is based in Penclawdd on the Gower Peninsula. We pride ourselves on providing good quality, home-cooked food, using local Welsh produce wherever possible. We serve breakfasts until 12, lunches after 12, and ice creams, cakes, coffee and tea all day.
The cafe serves a range of breakfasts to suit any appetite, including a Welsh Breakfast containing the famous Penclawdd cockles and laverbread - not to be missed!
For lunch there is a choice of sandwiches, baguettes and salads; as well as a soup of the day. For a more filling meal try our lasagne, builder's brunch, or one of a many daily specials.
A wide selection of home-made cakes and treats are available throughout the day, including gluten free options. Ice cream sundaes are a firm favourite, as well as cones or tubs to take away.
We serve a wide range of teas, coffees and cold drinks including beers and wine during the day.
On Friday nights we run a three course bistro set menu which changes on a monthly basis. The bistro is fully licensed and we offer a range of wines, beers, and spirits - including products from the Gower Brewery and Penderyn distillery. Booking is essential for the bistro evenings.
If you have any special dietary requirements we will do our best to accommodate them - please speak to a member of staff if you require any further information.
Whole cakes are available to purchase on pre-order (at least 24 hours notice required) - choose from our selection of chocolate, victoria sponge, coffee and walnut, carrot cake, raspberry and almond, or lemon drizzle. Other types of cake are also available on request.
Gift vouchers in amounts up to £50 can be purchased in the Cafe.
We are members of the Swansea Bay Good Food Circle - "Champions of local produce".
